The ATCN course is taught concurrently with ATLS. The ATCN program has been operational for more than 25 years and has an excellent record of offering a superb trauma educational program, and maintaining a positive collaboration with the ACS Committee on Trauma State Chapters. The ATCN program is currently being offered in numerous states as well as internationally. Description HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the ACLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session with an AHA ACLS Instructor.HeartCode ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Students will be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to successfully complete per AHA standards. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students will take a multiple choice exam and must pass with a minimum score of 84%. Because the ACLS Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand. You are required to have access to the 2020 Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Manual before, during, and after class . Choose ONE of the following options to fulfill this requirement: Purchase one with class registration for pick-up at the EGH Health and Education Center, IUSB Elkhart 125 E. Franklin ST Elkhart. If you purchase a book through enrollware registration, you must call Jenean at HEC 875-6430 to arrange a time to pick it up. Already own the 2020 ACLS Provider Manual Beacon Health System Associates & BMG must contact their Director/Manager/Educator to check out a textbook from their Unit’s lending library. Purchase from one of the three AHA approved suppliers. A MANDATORY Pre-course Self-Assessment must be completed with a passing score of 70% or above prior to admission to the classroom portion. If you have not completed the Self-Assessment, you will be asked to reschedule your class. This information can be found on the first page of your provider manual or in your confirmation email. Please follow this link and launch course then create an account to complete the pre-test. You only need to do the Pre-test, the videos are optional but strongly encouraged.
